Deutsche Bank Offshore in Jersey has recently been awarded the
Investors in People accreditation. Investors in
People is recognised internationally as a benchmark for best
practice in training and development.
Since being invited to join the Investors in People pilot scheme
operated by the Training and Education Partnership in early 1998,
everyone in the organisation has been involved in what has been
a major project for the Bank. John Boothman, Managing Director of
Deutsche Bank International Limited, commented:
Investors in People has been a very important initiative for
us. It has provided a framework within which we have been able to
develop a more focussed approach to training and development and
has helped us drive through improvements in the way we manage and
develop our staff. Gaining formal accreditation as an Investor
in People represents the culmination of more than two years
hard work and preparation during which time our business planning
and people planning processes have been transformed.
Presenting the award on behalf of Investors in People, Bruce Willing,
formerly the Jersey Training and Education Partnerships Head
of Training and Business Development, congratulated the management
and staff of Deutsche Bank Offshore on their magnificent performance
in attaining the award.
Deutsche Bank Offshore intend to implement the Investors in People
standard in their other international locations with their Guernsey
office hoping to gain accreditation later this year.
