Deutsche Bank has recently been awarded with eight "Awards
for Excellence 2001". In the global category, Deutsche was
awarded "The World's Best Bank at Cash Management and Payments".
According to Euromoney, "what distinguishes Deutsche from other
leading global banks, [...], is that the Bank aims to reach a much
broader range of customers including many more middle-size corporates
and financial institutions."
In the regional awards category Western Europe, Deutsche was named
Best Bank, Best Debt House, Best at Risk Management and Treasury,
and Best at Cash Management and Payments. In the accompanying article
Euromoney commented, "Deutsche Bank has clearly emerged as
the leading bank in Europe, combining strong positions in traditional
wholesale banking markets, such as cash management and payments,
and treasury, with more sophisticated investment banking services."
In the category Germany, Deutsche received Best Bank, Best Debt
House, and Best Equity House. Assorted quotes from the article include
"in wholesale and corporate banking in Germany, Deutsche Bank
remains pre-eminent." "Deutsche Bank is clearly the best
debt house in Germany." "Independent surveys of fund managers
[...] suggest that its German equity research is widely followed."
and "large companies and vendors are happy to use Deutsche
to distribute equity in the primary market owing to its execution
capabilities."
