Hindsight is always 20:20. Our clients
needs are ever-changing and their activities usually require instant
attention and fast-track decisions. The structures created to meet
our clients needs can last for considerable periods, sometimes
beyond the relationship with the original Deutsche Bank contact,
within the trust department or elsewhere in the bank, and even beyond
the lifetime of our client.
The Independent Review Team (IRT) is a small team of trust professionals
averaging over 20 years broad-ranging experience that reviews the
client structures from inception and then again at regular intervals.
This knowledge is passed on to the trust administration officers
and management in the form of a structural and historical profile
with particular issues that need highlighting and, where necessary,
action.
IRT is also committed to ensuring that the methods employed in providing
the service in each unique scenario is done so in the most efficient
and effective manner. Therefore, not only does IRT check the design,
the mechanics and the history of each structure, but efficiency
too. We consider these at a macro level and raise trends with management.
This ensures that the procedures and policies employed within the
business are efficient and secure across the board.
IRT is provided with an ideal arena in which to fulfil its role.
With a reporting line within the business and to the board of Deutsche
Bank Offshore in general, it is provided with sufficient freedom
whilst retaining proximity to the decision-makers close enough to
appreciate the finer detail.
As for the future, we can only prepare. IRT learns as it reviews
and recognises the benefits in passing this on. IRT undertakes to
ensure that the common issues, the opportunities and threats that
affect the structures, our clients and, us, are passed on to all
new administration staff by way of training.
Deutsche Bank strives to meet total client satisfaction with a commitment
to excellent service. IRT seeks to enhance the Banks commitment
by ensuring a consistent quality of service to the clients of Fiduciary
Services.
