Presto On-Line is Deutsche Bank Offshore's
electronic banking system. It is available to clients of our Jersey,
Guernsey, Cayman and Mauritius offices.
Whilst the system was primarily developed for our intermediary and
institutional clients, private clients will also benefit from the
ability to view their banking relationships via the flexibility
of the Internet.
Investment Managers, Fund Promoters and Trustee Custodians are able
to access Fund NAV's on-line.
In July 2001, Portfolio Valuations were introduced to the system
for clients with Investment Managed and / or Global Custody relationships.
In response to client requirements, the latest enhancement to the
system, introduced in December 2001, allows the client to move away
from the current paper-based method of sending instructions, into
an electronic environment whereby payments are prepared and authorised
from the user's own desktop or wherever they have Internet access.
On completion of the necessary documentation, clients are able to
input payments and transfers directly into the system. The clients'
mandate is replicated electronically, and each authorised signatory
is allocated a SecurID token. This supplements the already robust
encryption technology that protects the site and the information
therein.
Once a payment has been fully authorised in accordance with the
mandate it is received immediately by DBO for processing. At this
stage, the instruction is checked in accordance with our transaction
monitoring responsibilities and actioned accordingly.
Enhancements to Presto On-Line are client-driven and will
be announced on dboffshore.com on an ongoing basis.
