Deutsche Bank's CTAS has played a pivotal
role in a ground-breaking aircraft securitisation project on behalf
of Air France which closed on Monday July 7.
The purpose of the transaction was for Air France to obtain financing
of €615 million for a total of 16 aircraft at market competitive
rates. The issuer and purchasing companies are Special Purpose Vehicles
located in Ireland and are administered by CTAS's Corporate Services
team in Dublin. Other key administrative roles on the transaction
including trustee, paying agent, account bank and cashflow manager
will be provided by CTAS in London. Philippe Charbonnier, Relationship
Manager in Deutsche Bank's Paris office, perform a key role in supporting
the transaction and ensuring that the client was comfortable with
the final product.
The deal was lead managed by Credit Lyonnais with Freshfields Bruckhaus
Derringer and A&L Goodbody in Ireland advising.
This transaction demonstrates CTAS's ability to provide a comprehensive
suite of administrative services to major clients like Air France
on complex cross-border transactions.
