Deutsche Bank Offshore Channel Islands Clubs Championship

This year the Deutsche Bank Offshore Channel Islands Clubs Championship will take place over the weekend of 15th & 16th November 2003. Six sides, four from Jersey and two from Guernsey will compete for the trophy won last year by Jersey Hockey Club Gobis.

This is an important event in the hockey calendar and completes the commitment of the sponsors from grass roots to the pinnacle of the sport.

It is also an early opportunity for the two islands to compare their merits with Guernsey having secured their first victory in last year's inter insular in the past eleven years. Within the islands OV Convicts will also be keen to gain early revenge for their defeat to JHC Gobis in their recent league match. An extremely competitive tournament is therefore expected. The competition will take place in two pools on Saturday.

Pool A will be held at Jersey College for Girls between Evolution OV Convicts, Tigers and JHA XI. Pool B will be held at Les Quennevais between JHC Gobis, JHC Ormers and Colombians. Winners and losers will then compete at Les Quennevais on Sunday with the final taking place at 14.30.
