Deutsche Bank Support Community Rugby & Development Programme

Deutsche Bank announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Jersey Rugby Development Committee to provide sponsorship for the next three years in the sum of £15,000.

This sponsorship will support the Deutsche Bank Rugby Development Programme which has been established by Rugby Development Officer, Mark White.

Included in the initiatives that this sponsorship will provide for is

• the introduction of tag rugby into primary schools;

• coaching and refereeing courses for secondary school teachers to ensure continuous development and improved delivery of rugby coaching;

• holiday coaching schemes for children of all ages and abilities during the school holidays with qualified coaches at a number of locations around the Island; and

• A schools' summer mixed touch rugby league for pupils in years 9 - 11.
