Deutsche Bank today published its annual "Corporate
Social Responsibility Report 2003". According to the report,
the bank and its foundations spent a total of € 67.4 million
last year worldwide for cultural and social causes. "In 2003,
a difficult year, we were again a reliable partner to the community",
said Dr. Tessen von Heydebreck, responsible for Corporate Social
Responsibility on the Board of Managing Directors of Deutsche Bank
AG, presenting the report in Frankfurt.
In 2003, the bank continued to optimize its
corporate citizenship structures and aligned its activities with
the emphasis on art, music, education and social matters. "In
the last two years, we have not only successfully transformed Deutsche
Bank as a company and concentrated the bank on its core businesses,
but also reorganized and strategically focussed our activities as
corporate citizen in order to fulfil our responsibility towards
society even more effectively," said von Heydebreck.
