Deutsche Bank appoints Javeed Ameen as Country

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment
of Javeed Ameen as Chief Country Officer of Deutsche Bank (Mauritius)
Limited. His appointment was effective 1 January 2005. In addition
to his role as Chief Country Officer, Mr Ameen will continue to
be Head of Banking, a role he has held since April 2001.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr Ameen spent 18 years with South
Africa’s First National Bank – 13 years in Corporate
Banking in South Africa, and five years – up until 2001 –
as Head of the Corporate and Electronic Banking in Botswana. He
holds a Masters degree in Business Leadership (MBL) and a Bachelors
degree in Commerce majoring in Economics at the University of South
Africa.
In announcing the appointment Kenneth C Borda, Deutsche Bank Chief
Executive Officer - Asia Pacific (ex Japan) said: “Javeed
brings considerable experience in both Global Banking and overall
management to his new role as Chief Country Officer in Mauritius.
He has successfully developed our banking business in Mauritius
and positioned it well for future growth.”
