Beechwood Boys Banking on Success

The boys in the Beechwood under-9’s football team were given special permission to wear their new football kit in the classroom last week. This was donated by Deutsche Bank following an approach by Head Teacher, Suzanne Battey.

“The boys are very excited about their brand new strip,” said Mrs Battey, “and they are looking forward to the matches scheduled against Vale, Castel and Hautes Capelles schools after half-term. They have all worked very hard to gain their places in the team”

Andreas Tautscher, Deutsche Bank Managing Director, (pictured with the team) whose own sons are enthusiastic soccer players, said “We are delighted to support the Under 9’s. These children have a real passion for their sport and we hope that providing them with their own strip will really help to promote the team spirit”
