School of Soccer scores a new sponsor

Guernsey Football association have
announced a 2006 sponsorship arrangement with Deutsche Bank.
The Deutsche Bank School of Soccer in partnership with Guernsey
Football Association has an extensive training programme planned
for this summer – trials for the School started on 27th
April 2006.
The School provides technical coaching, development fixtures
and tours for up to 96 children each year. Traditionally development
fixtures have been played vs. the Jersey FA Centre of Excellence,
and tour venues have included the Gothia Cup (Sweden), Haarlem
Cup (The Netherlands). The high spot (culmination) of the season
is the Umbro International Cup 2006 in Manchester.
Football Development Officer, Chris Pringle, said: ‘I
am delighted to be able to continue with this fundamental development
programme for young footballers in Guernsey. The School has become
a pivotal scheme for technical development, and the support of
Deutsche Bank is invaluable. I am looking forward to building
a partnership with Deutsche Bank and also to expand our development
activity into new projects beginning in Autumn 2006’.
Deutsche Bank’s sponsorship will contribute towards main
areas of activity:
• Summer Training Sessions- up to 96 boys and girls will
train weekly throughout the summer.
• Development matches against the Jersey FA’s School
of Excellence shall be held in September, and some of the squads
will also take part in tournaments either in the UK or mainland
Europe against clubs from across the continent.
• Supplying Kits - training kits for all soccer students.
