Deutsche Bank has been named Bank
of the Year by International Financing Review (IFR) magazine for
the second time in three years.
Deutsche Bank was awarded four of IFR’s
top seven prizes, winning Bond House, Derivatives House and Structured
Finance House, as well as Bank of the Year 2005.
Only two banks have won the top award from IFR more than once
in the past nine years – Citigroup and now Deutsche Bank.
Following the announcement, Josef Ackermann said: “We are
delighted. The IFR awards are the most prestigious in our industry
and it is gratifying that the hard work of everyone in the bank
has been recognised.”
Deutsche Bank was named Bond House of the Year for the third time
in seven years and Derivatives House of the Year for the fifth
time in eight. It is the first occasion that the Bank has won
these two global awards in the same year.
