Deutsche Bank sponsors Jersey Environment Week

During the week of 11 – 15 June 2007, teachers and pupils will have the opportunity to visit one or more of over 50 sites of local environmental interest. It also offers schools the opportunity to apply for funding to support these visits and develop school based environmental projects.

Jersey Environment Week was set up by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture (ESC) and the Jersey Ecology Fund in 2006 as part of a three year project to support and encourage environmental projects within school and their local community.

This initiative aims to encourage and develop positive attitudes towards the environment through education projects.

This sponsorship is particularly well aligned with Deutsche Bank’s support of Environment and Sustainability issues. It allows us to share our concerns for the welfare of our environment and the need to protect and conserve critical natural resources and give us the opportunity to create added value with the environmental and social impact of the project.
